Preserving Ethiopia’s Heritage for Future Generations

About Us

We support the Ethiopian Heritage Trust, a charity founded in Ethiopia in 1992 to preserve, develop and cherish sites of natural beauty and historic buildings in Ethiopia.

The main project is the Entoto Natural Park, 13 square kilometres of Park immediately north of Addis Ababa.

Since the Park was founded in 1995 over 600,000 indigenous trees have been planted replacing the monoculture of eucalyptus that dominated the slopes.

A new project was started in 2022, the Ankober-Zego Natural Forest, a one square kilometre area of degraded forest some 170 kilometres from Addis Ababa, which the Trust will replant with native trees and fruit trees with the local farming community.
